raspberry, more bitter chocolate, green tobacco and vanilla. It has a long finish

HESTER CREEK PINOT GRIS 3L 2019
Okanagan Valley #485672 $50.00 (approx.)
When we go camping, this, along with their Cabernet/Merlot 3L, is a “go-to”
wine to bring. They are both the same wine as found in bottle but due to
arcane BC VQA rules cannot be labelled as such when in a bladder and box.
A very pale straw yellow, it has a light nose of green peach, green apple and
lemon-lime with mineral notes. The light, bright flavours are more lemonlime,
green pear, kiwi and green melon. It has a lifted finish with a touch of
sweetness. If you are on a fishing holiday, it will go well with white fish like
halibut or ling cod or scallops, or trout if you are lake or creek fishing. Other
good options are lighter chicken or pork dishes, Chinese cuisine, or just
cheese and crackers. You can find these 3L sizes at private wine stores,
including Everything Wine, Legacy Liquor, the Straith in Victoria and Public
Liquor in Kelowna.
