This rustic blend of vinifera and Michigan cold climate hybrids (forty-six
percent Merlot, forty-four percent Cabernet Sauvignon, seven percent
Frontenac Noir and three percent Marquette) displays bright raspberry and
chokecherry on its nose and sour cherry, raspberry and blueberry with
some earthy mushroom on its midweight palate. It ends with a juicy finish
of sour cherry and bitter chocolate. It needs flavourful meat or cheese for
taming. We had it with BBQ pork chops on the bone and mixed grilled vegetables.
Other food ideas could include grilled lamb or game meats, and its
rich nose and tart palate will also pair it well with spareribs. It is available
