COURSES ON DEMAND
Did you know that as of January 2019, the Law Society of BC allows you to
earn CPD credit for viewing pre-recorded courses on your own? Under the
old CPD rules, you needed to view pre-recorded courses in the presence of
another lawyer or articled student to qualify for CPD credit. But now you
can earn CPD credit by viewing pre-recorded courses by yourself.
Take advantage of this change with CLEBC’s new Courses on Demand
subscription service, offering thousands of pre-recorded video presentations
from CLEBC courses.
Easy, Painless CPD
With Courses on Demand, you have 24/7 online access to CPD-eligible prerecorded
presentations, so you can complete your credits on your own, in
one place, whenever it is most convenient for you.
Courses on Demand also take the guesswork out of your CPD budget for
the year. With a one-time annual fee determined by firm size, you can accurately
predict CPD expenses for you or your firm.
Customize Your Education
Courses on Demand allow you to self-direct your CPD education. You can
select presentations on topics relevant to you at the learning level you need.
You decide what you watch and how long you watch for, ensuring that every
minute spent on CPD is valuable to you. You can select from junior to
advanced topics and explore issues at a high level or in depth.
If you have trouble deciding what to watch, CLEBC staff have combed
through the thousands of presentations in Courses on Demand to create
pre-tailored “Selections” packages including:
