THE ADVOCATE 319
VOL. 77 PART 2 MARCH 2019
Kimberley A. Knapp is an associate at Hunter Litigation Chambers. She
practises primarily in the areas of commercial and public law and has
appeared at all levels of court in Canada.
Richard Molstad is a retired (or real tired) lawyer. He graduated from UBC
Law School (as it then was) in 1980; he was in one of the quartiles, although
he doesn’t recall which. He practised with McQuarrie Hunter until 2017.
Someday he hopes to improve his golf game so his friends won’t say it is
embarrassing to play with him.
Richard Peck, Q.C., formerly known as “Rocky”, appeared on the front
cover of the Advocate’s May 2015 issue. He is the founding partner of Peck
and Company and one of the leading criminal lawyers in Canada.
Thomas A. Posyniak is an associate at Fasken, where his practice focuses
on legal research and written and appellate advocacy at the Court of Appeal
and Supreme Court of Canada, as well as drafting opinions and written submissions
for other courts and arbitral and administrative tribunals.
Kerry L. Simmons, Q.C., served as president of the CBABC in 2012–2013
and was the CBA’s national president in 2017–2018. She is the B.C. branch’s
acting executive director, thereby replacing the subject of this month’s
cover story, and was formerly a partner at Cook Roberts.
