Nova Scotia’s provincial fossil is, pursuant to the aptly named Provincial Fossil
Act, the “reptile fossil Hylonomus lyelli”. The National Post reported in

in Nova Scotia from a museum in London, that it was about 312 million
years old, was found in Joggins in 1859 and is the oldest known fossil of a

was feted at her retirement celebration, held at the Law Courts Inn.
After 28 years of service, Sue will no longer need to sing her favourite tunes
such as “No, Call Justin and Ask for More Judges”, “Are You Out of Your
Mind?” and “No, Urgent Means Dying, Bleeding, Starving or Homeless”.
