The official dinosaur of the District of Columbia is the Capitalsaurus (really,
we’re not kidding). The Code of the District of Columbia explains that the
dinosaur, which “was a large meat eating reptile which may be an ancestor
of the T. (tyrannosaurus) rex” and “about 110 million years ago … lived in
the District of Columbia with many other dinosaurs including herbivores”,
“was discovered in January 1898, at First and F Streets, S.E., in the District
of Columbia by workmen during a sewer connection project, and is the only
known specimen of its kind in the world”.
The 125th anniversary of the New Westminster Bar Association will be celebrated
on April 10, 2019 at the Anvil Centre on Columbia Street in New

There will be a dinner scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Please contact Clinton Sadlemery
