On behalf of the board of the BCLI and CCEL, I wish readers a happy New
Year. To our many project committee and student volunteers, as well as our
funders, thank you for making our work possible. On behalf of the board
and staff, I would also like to extend our sincerest appreciation to the Law
Foundation of British Columbia and the Ministry of the Attorney General
for their ongoing support through annual operational funding, which is so
critical to ensuring that we continue to deliver the quality and diversity of
non-partisan law reform and legal research that defines and distinguishes
the BCLI and the CCEL.
1. The nine funders for this project are: the Real Estate
Foundation of British Columbia, the Notary Foundation
of British Columbia, the Ministry of Municipal
Affairs and Housing for British Columbia, the Real
Estate Council of British Columbia, the Real Estate
Institute of British Columbia, the Strata Property
Agents of British Columbia, the Association of British
Columbia Land Surveyors, the Vancouver Island
Strata Owners Association and the Condominium
Home Owners Association.
2. The funders are the Law Foundation of British Columbia,
the British Columbia Ministry of Labour, the
Coalition of BC Businesses, the British Columbia
Government and Service Employees’ Union, the
Hospital Employees’ Union, and the Vancouver and
District Labour Council. The BC Federation of Labour
provided invaluable assistance in securing project
