Connor Bildfell is an articling student at McCarthy Tétrault and the copy
editor for the Advocate. Before setting his sights on becoming a lawyer,
Connor dreamed of becoming the ice cream man and at a young age developed
a sophisticated plan to solve the world's problems by distributing free
ice cream. As generating revenue to sustain his free-ice-cream enterprise
did not figure in the plan, it is likely for the best that Connor did not pursue
a career in business.
Monika Gehlen is a partner at DLA Piper. A member of the firm’s legal
research and litigation groups, Monika specializes in written advocacy,
appellate practice, legal opinions and strategic advice. She would like
to reassure all her cat-allergic friends that deep down she is really a dog
Richard Molstad is a retired lawyer. He spent his entire legal career at
McQuarrie Hunter, commencing with articles in 1980, then progressing as
an associate, then partner and lastly as an associate counsel until June 30,
2017. He has a wide array of interests. Golf is one of them. He loves golf, but
just wishes golf loved him back. In retirement his primary objective is to
excel at being “Grumps” to grandsons Hayden and Soren.
David Roberts, Q.C., was long the editor of the Advocate. He currently tends
to his bee-keeping duties somewhere on the North Shore.
