THE ADVOCATE ADVOCATE V O L . 7 5 P A R T 3 M A Y 2 0 1 7 465 FROM OUR BACK PAGES By R.C. Tino Bel LAW SOCIETY, PUBLICITY* The members of the Law Society at the annual meetings in 1946 and 1947 approved publicity in the form of advertisements in certain newspapers. Early in the year advertisements were published in the three daily newspapers in Vancouver, namely, the News-Herald, the Daily Province and the Vancouver Sun, and in Victoria in the Times and in the Colonist. Advertisements have appeared alternately at each weekend in the Sun and in the Province in Vancouver, and in the Times and the Colonist in Victoria. The following are the texts of the advertisements which have already appeared, and others shortly to be published. The committee in charge of the publicity would welcome suggestions from members of the bar in respect of this new activity on the part of the Society. TEXT OF ADVERTISEMENTS SERVICE The Law Society of British Columbia will, from time to time, publish, in this column, facts regarding lawyers, the service which they have to offer to the public and the wisdom of seeking early legal advice in any unusual situation. * Reprinted from (1947) 5 Advocate 172.
